Lets talk movies: Catching Fire review

Lets Talk Movies: Catching Fire
Okay, Hey, How you doing?
So I have decide to start a blog as I am not able to make videos for my YouTube channel (ali - minium) all the time. And there are so many things I want to talk about but I'm not able to speak about it Directly all the time.
I am a true tribute. I absolutely LOVE all of The Hunger Games books and when the release date of Catching Fire was confirmed I counted down the months, then when it was November I started to count the days which I know irritated people a lot but hey ho it's hear now.
Catching Fire was my favourite book out of the whole trilogy because of the arena and how the idea of it was so cleverly set out. And it is also the first time we meet Finnick Odair 'want a sugar cube?' ;)
Anyway, I was really excited for the movie because I hoped it did the book justice and it did. However I do have some good and bad points about the movie.
Good points:

  • The quality of the film was so much better than the first one as it was more clearer and there was no 'shaky cam.'
  • All of the actors were amazing (in my opinion)
  • The arena was just as I imagined it and better.
  • All of the fighting scene were also amazing, especially when they were fighting with the monkeys.
  • I'm not sure if this is a good point, but the movie definitely made me cry more than once :'(
  • I liked the way they portrayed President Snow smelling like blood and roses.
  • Best until last Finnick Odair of course.

Bad Points:

  • Each scene was cut to quickly (I understand why because otherwise the movie will be 4 hours long if it added every detail that was in the book)
  • Details I wish were in the movie: Bonnie and Twill; understand why they are going to District 13 and the pocket watch Plutarch Heavensbee shows to Katniss as a clue for what is in the arena.
  • Why does President Snow have a granddaughter?
Over all I am still pleased with the movie and I would definitely watch it again because it was that good :)
Thank you for reading my first blog post and...
May the odds be ever in your favour
